Gospel singer Exodus shared his personal journey on NTVTheBeat today (March 20th, 2024), opening up about his struggle with mental health (depression) since 2013, following the loss of his beloved mother to stage four cancer—a tragedy that shattered his world. "My struggles began in 2013 when I lost my dear mom. At that time, we discovered she had stage four cancer. When she passed away, I lost my job, my house, and my cars."

During this period, Exodus put his music career on hold and sought solace in drugs and alcohol. "I turned to drugs and alcohol but tried to put an OKAY face.

In 2018, I went to Guvnor and drank heavily, intending to get hit by a car. It is by the grace of God that I am still alive."

Exodus urges people to refrain from being judgmental towards others, emphasizing that they often don't know what they are going through behind the scenes.
