Uganda Professional Boxing Association seeks meeting over new sports law
The Uganda Professional Boxing Association is seeking a meeting with the National Council of Sports to discuss the future of professional boxing in the country, which is being threatened by the new sports law. UPBC Acting Chairperson Eddie Bazira says professional boxing management needs to remain independent from the body running amateur boxing. The new sports law has merged both professional and amateur boxing under the Uganda Boxing Federation.
