2025 is shaping up to be a politically charged year for Uganda, with politicians already crisscrossing the country to gather support. As is often the case during election periods, tensions are rising, and violence has sometimes resulted in fatalities. With the 2026 elections on the horizon, questions loom about what the political climate will be like. The update of the National Voter Register is currently underway, with an extension of one week.
