The Generating Growth Opportunities and Productivity for Women Enterprises Project, a World Bank-funded initiative in Uganda, is being extended to all corners of the country. Its goal is to improve access to entrepreneurship services for women, helping them grow their businesses from micro to small and medium-sized enterprises. The project provides financial literacy, ICT training, and business development support, and aims to tackle structural barriers to womenās economic empowerment nationwide, including in refugee and host communities. The project, which is being implemented by the Gender Ministry and the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, is now emphasizing financial literacy skills to ensure that beneficiaries do not lose what they borrow.
