Launched in Kampala today, the competition awarded UGX 222 million to youth-led ventures spanning input distribution, agro-processing, logistics, and exports. Backed by Heifer International, the Mastercard Foundation, CURAD, Makerere University, and government partners, the initiative signals growing confidence in agribusiness as a driver of jobs, trade, and inclusive growth. William Matovu, Country Director of Heifer International Uganda, said the achievements show how AYuTe is fostering AgriTech innovation and financing scalable enterprises across the country.
