The opposition has maintained control of Kira Municipality at the parliamentary level for nearly three decades. However, with fresh parliamentary elections scheduled for January 2026, the key question is whether the current political landscape will persist or if the ruling NRM will manage to gain ground and unseat the opposition in Kira.
