The army has confirmed the arrest of Maj. Gen. James Birungi, the former Chief of Military Intelligence, is now known as Defence Intelligence and Security. Before being detained at Makindye Military Police Barracks, Birungi was grilled by a joint security committee over yet-to-be-confirmed allegations linked to corruption and terrorism.
