NSSF sees 26.3% increase in MTN Uganda dividend payout following additional share purchase
The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) income from the MTN Uganda dividend payout has increased by 26.3 percent, boosted by additional shares the fund bought during the telecom's secondary offer in May this year. According to Managing Director Patrick Ayota, the fund earned Ush39.8 billion ($10.7 million) in dividend payouts from MTN Uganda for the year ending December 31, 2023, compared with Ush31.5 billion ($8.5 million) in 2020.
