Challenges facing teachers amid new qualification requirements
Teachers in Uganda face challenges ranging from welfare to working conditions, among others. Recently, the government tabled a Teachers Bill that would, among other provisions, require teachers to have a university degree as a minimum qualification. Benjamin Jumbe spoke to Filbert Baguma, the Secretary General of the Uganda National Teachers Association, to evaluate what the teaching professionals go through.
