Cardinals mark end of mourning as preparations begin for Papal conclave
Some 130 Cardinals of the Catholic Church today participated in a special Mass marking the end of the Novemdiales—the nine days of mourning for Pope Francis. Meanwhile, Italian fire brigade officials have completed the installation of the famous chimney pipe on the roof of the Sistine Chapel, which will be used to burn ballots during the conclave that will elect Pope Francis’ successor.
