149 Kenyan pilgrims arrive in Uganda ahead of martyrs' day celebrations
With the annual trek to Namugongo now underway across the country, an additional 149 Kenyan pilgrims have crossed into Uganda through Busia ahead of the Uganda Martyrs’ Day celebrations.
The group comprises 109 women and 40 men, drawn from parishes in Port Victoria, Nangina, Siriba, and Busia—all within the Diocese of Bungoma. Other pilgrims have come from the Dioceses of Kakamega and Homa Bay.
