Mbale city launches first plastic recycling plant to tackle waste and create jobs
Mbale City has inaugurated its first plastic waste collection and recycling plant in a bid to address the growing waste problem in the area. The facility is expected to collect over 40 tonnes of plastic every month.
The initiative, launched in partnership with Crown Beverages and Reclaim, aims to improve environmental health while creating employment opportunities for youth in Mbale and surrounding districts.
