Bunyoro struggles with 70% school dropout rate
The Bunyoro sub-region is still grappling with the problem of school dropouts. According to reports, the region is experiencing a high school dropout rate of 70 percent in the nine districts that include Hoima City, Kikuube, Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Masindi, Kiryandongo, Buliisa, and Hoima. Leaders are worried about the high number of learners who don’t make it to the secondary level of education, with only 30 percent completing the education cycle of Primary Seven.
