Byakagaba asks CID to continue going after the big fish
The Inspector General of Police, Abbas Byakagaba, has applauded the office of the CID and that of the Director of Public Prosecutions for their swift response against government officials who are said to have been involved in corruption, pledging full support to enable the directorate to go after more high-profile culprits. While opening the two-day inaugural DPP-CID coordination meeting at the CID headquarters in Kibuli, Byakagaba noted the recent prosecution of high-profile individuals over corruption, a move that has changed the narrative where members of the public accused police of going after smaller fish in the fight against corruption.
