Calls for total ban on single-use plastics mount
Calls for a total ban on single-use plastics in the country have dominated this year's national commemoration of World Environment Day held in Kabale. Meanwhile, the National Environment Management Authority has asked the government to transform its fleet to electric vehicles in an effort to deal with air pollution. The national celebrations have been held in Kabale under the theme "United Against Plastic Pollution."
