Gov't reduces power tariffs to increase demand for electricity
Ugandan households and businesses are set to benefit from a 5.2 percent reduction in electricity tariffs, with the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) announcing a decrease in prices for nine consumer categories, effective January to March, in a move expected to save consumers approximately Shs155 billion.
