Government negotiates release of Ugandans in Saudi Arabia
State Minister for Labour Esther Anyakun reveals that the government has concluded negotiations to secure the freedom and repatriation of several Ugandan migrant workers who were imprisoned in Saudi Arabia. However, the Saudi government has retained those convicted of murder and drug trafficking. As LYDIA FELLY AKULLU reports, this comes amid growing concerns that some Ugandans are trafficking narcotics into Saudi Arabia.
