Government to promote Uganda Martyrs beyond June 3
The Uganda Martyrs' Day celebrations at Namugongo are renowned as a spiritual center, drawing thousands of pilgrims each year. However, despite the nation's abundant religious heritage, faith-based tourism remains a relatively underdeveloped sector. In this report, David Ijjo explores Namugongo's potential as a faith-based tourism destination and what national strategies Uganda could adopt to boost faith-driven tourism and capitalize on its religious heritage.
