Kasese flood victims struggle to cope following disaster
Kasese residents have started picking up the pieces, days after the area was hit by landslides and flooding. A survey through the villages of Kaghema, Bwitho, Kabughabugha, and parts of Kiduku showed that these areas were totally destroyed when the small river Dubu burst its banks, causing floods in the lowlands. According to Ivan Bwambale, the LC3 Chairperson for Kyarumba Town Council, many businessmen and women who depended on this trading center for their livelihoods are still in shock.
