Kiteezi landfill disaster victims await compensation
The KCCA Executive Director, Sharifah Buzeki, has revealed that although Kiteezi landfill is under KCCA, the authority cannot compensate victims of the landfill collapse that occurred on August 10, 2024. Buzeki says that while the authority acknowledges victims’ compensation claims, nothing can be done until the Cabinet approves funds for their compensation.
