Mbarara school overwhelmed by large learner numbers
Education authorities in Mbarara have asked the government to consider recruiting more teachers to help cope with the increasing number of learners at Mbarara Municipal School to address the high pupil-teacher ratio challenges. The school has sixty-two teachers employed by the government, and these are tasked with handling over four thousand pupils. School authorities say they are overwhelmed by this number and would like more manpower to ease learning there.
