Minister cautions health training institutions against exceeding student enrollment capacity
The State Minister for Higher Education has cautioned health training institutions against raising the enrollment of students beyond their capacity, as this could affect the quality of training. Dr. Muyingo raised this concern during the release of the 2024 Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board results. According to the report, there has been an increased number of female students enrolling, which is a good gesture for health progress in the country. UAHEB Executive Secretary Joseph Agondua expressed fear that health experts are concerned about some critical courses in essential areas not being taken by students, which is a threat to the health system of the country. He attributes this to the failure of the government to absorb them into the structure.
