MPs accused of soliciting UHRC chairperson for 20% of budget
Three Members of Parliament have been charged with corruption and remanded to Luzira prisons. The MPs appeared before the Anti Corruption Court, said to have solicited a 20 percent share off the budget of the Uganda Human Rights Commission for the next financial year. The charge sheet stated that the MPs wanted a 20 percent share of the budget in exchange for them defending an increment in what the commission would get.
