Mpuuga welcomes court ruling amid censure motion
The former Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Mathias Mpuuga, who received 500 million shillings as a service award, has welcomed the latest High Court decision on the matter, stating that the 1.7 billion shillings was approved by the August House. He says the ruling exonerates him and fellow commissioners from allegations of stealing public money or being labeled as self-seekers and corrupt by members of the public. Instead, the Nyendo Mukungwe MP has accused MPs behind the motion to censure them of being noise-makers and ignorant about the roles of Parliament.
