Teso farmers call for farmers' bank to boost agricultural financing
Farmers across the Teso sub-region have tasked the Bank of Uganda to establish a Farmers’ Bank that will extend cheaper and affordable credit facilities to them, in a bid to help them deal better in agricultural produce. The call came as the farmers met with central bank officials in Soroti. The bank is on a drive to inculcate financial literacy to the general public.
