URA says Bobi Wine owes taxes for new car
The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has insisted on re-verifying the National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi's newly acquired Toyota Land Cruiser because they believe it was undervalued upon entry into the country and the former Presidential candidate still owes taxes on the vehicle. This follows a communication from the revenue agency for Kyagulanyi to voluntarily take his car to be valued afresh and an adjusted tax bill prepared. However Kyagulanyi's lawyer say his client met all requirements to bring the car into the country hence there is no need to have it valued again for tax purposes.
