UWA outlines plans to restore Botanical gardens
Government last year officially transferred the management of the Entebbe Botanical Gardens from the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries to the newly merged Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC). The decision followed a presidential directive towards revitalizing the iconic gardens. DAVID IJJO looks at how this directive will be implemented.
