Virunga gorilla marathon returns to promote sports tourism
The Virunga Gorilla Marathon, first held in Kisoro town last year, returns to the foothills of Mount Muhabura on May 31st, with over 1,000 runners expected to participate.
Launched to identify and nurture local athletic talent capable of winning gold for the country, the marathon also aims to promote sports tourism.
