Uganda scores well in mining, but small-scale regulation lags

Uganda scores fairly on the Africa Mining Vision, with 67% for legal frameworks and 70% for geological mapping. However, the African Union says regulation of artisanal and small-scale mining remains a major gap, with the country scoring just 47%. Kenneth Asiimwe, CEO of the Association of Artisanal and Small-Scale Miners, says coaching miners to scale up remains key. Ronah Nahabwe reports, with Babu Isa on camera.
