Uganda scores well in mining, but small-scale regulation lags

Uganda scores fairly on the Africa Mining Vision, with 67% for legal frameworks and 70% for geological mapping. However, the African Union says regulation of artisanal and small-scale mining remains a major gap, with the country scoring just 47%.
