ICDL program to unlock jobs for refugees

Uganda, Africa’s largest refugee-hosting nation with more than 1.6 million refugees, is expanding digital literacy among displaced communities. A government partnership with the International Certificate of Digital Literacy (ICDL) is equipping thousands with internationally recognised skills, opening opportunities both locally and abroad. Permanent Secretary Aminah Zawedde says the credential is positioning refugees for global competitiveness. Betty Ndagire reports.
