The NRM Vice Chairperson, Western region has cautioned NRM party leaders in Hoima City to stop supporting independent candidates who lost in the recently concluded party primaries. Asiimwe says that although the electoral laws of Uganda allow independent candidates to stand for any elective position, the NRM Constitution bars its Members who participated in Party Primaries and lost from contesting as independents but instead should back the official flag bearer of the party.
