Local farmers across Eastern and Northern Uganda have expressed a collective need for the preservation and promotion of indigenous seed varieties. They argue that traditional seeds offer superior resilience, nutritional and medicinal value, and cultural significance compared to the “improved” or hybrid seeds often advocated by agricultural experts.
