UWA, Total Energies partner to protect Murchison Falls NP

Oil drilling within Uganda’s ecologically sensitive Murchison Falls National Park is being carried out with a strong focus on conserving biodiversity and minimising environmental impact. Innovative noise-reduction technologies, strategic management of visual and light pollution, and dedicated site restoration efforts are helping protect the park’s wildlife and habitats. Close partnerships with wildlife authorities and local communities have boosted anti-poaching campaigns and reduced human-wildlife conflicts.
