Nandala Mafabi, the 2026 Presidential candidate on the FDC ticket, has promised to prioritize the compensation programme for the victims of past insurgencies in the Lango sub-region if he is elected the President of Uganda in 2026. Mafabi, who campaigned in Amolatar and Dokolo districts today, accused the government of restricting fishing in Lake Kyoga, a move he says has affected livelihoods, as locals there have traditionally depended on fishing for survival.
