Opposition Leader Joel Ssenyonyi has accused the Director of Public Prosecutions, Jane Frances Abodo, of failing to implement a Supreme Court order directing the transfer of civilian cases from military to civilian courts . His remarks came as the Parliamentary Appointments Committee vetted the newly appointed Principal Judge. During the vetting session, MPs also urged the incoming judge to prioritise addressing case backlogs, which they say are denying many Ugandans timely justice.
