KACITA demands unconditional release of arrested members following traders’ strike

The Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, is scheduled to meet with traders tomorrow to listen to their grievances to find a lasting solution to the issues affecting the trading industry. This comes after traders, represented by their umbrella organization KACITA, staged protests around the CBD that resulted in the arrest and detention of 9 individuals at CPS Kampala for unlawful assembly.
