Physical planners blame politics for current Nakivubo Channel stand off

Physical planners have welcomed Hamis Kiggundu’s plans to redevelop Nakivubo Channel. In his proposal, Kiggundu intends to cover the channel and create green public spaces and rest areas. He believes that this will help reduce pollution in the city once the channel is unclogged. However, despite the initiative, planners believe that Hamis has a challenge in convincing city dwellers about the benefits of his plans.
