Katengeto Island on Lake Kyoga in Kobwin Sub-county, Ngora District, is home to over 1,500 people.
It is cosmopolitan, inhabited by the Iteso, Bagwere, Sabiny, Karimojong, and Basoga, among others. The residents are living in despair, with no access to basic human amenities such as healthcare, clean water, education, and road infrastructure.
