Masaza group stage wraps up with nine matches played

The 2025 Masaza Cup Group stage climaxed last evening with nine games played at various grounds. Prior to match-day ten, four teams had already confirmed slots to the last eight as the remaining four battled it out. Kyaggwe, Ssingo, Buweekula and Buluuli had confirmed their slots while former champions Buddu, Gomba, Busiro and Bulmeezi had already been eliminated. Bugerere also surged into the last eight with 17 points after their 1-0 win at Bulemeezi, thanks to Colline Kafumbe’s sole goal. They went through as one of the two best third placed teams at the Group phase.
