Most widows are being force off family land in Acholi

We turn to the plight of vulnerable communities in northern Uganda. In the Acholi sub-region, widows and orphans are grappling with escalating land conflicts—the painful aftermath of the two-decade Lord’s Resistance Army insurgency. Many have been displaced, subjected to violence, and denied rights to ancestral land. Some have been victimised as tension in the land ensues; men are culturally heads of families, and their departures leave a big gap, setting the pace for violence.
