The National Drug Authority has ordered an immediate recall of a widely used anesthesia drug after hospitals across Uganda reported life-threatening side effects. The authority has given the importer, Abacus Pharma Africa Limited, three days to account for every batch as investigations into the safety of the drug get underway.
