NUP calls crisis meeting over Kampala Woman MP race tensions

Leaders of the opposition National Unity Platform party have called a crisis meeting to stop campaign hostilities between the incumbent Kampala Woman MP, Shamim Malende, and Zahara Luyirika. The two are eyeing the Kampala Woman Parliament seat. Their supporters have allegedly been engaged in a smear campaign which, according to Muwanga Kivumbi, the deputy president of NUP in the Buganda region, is against the party’s interests.
