In 2020, Rev. Fr. Charles Onen, a Catholic priest at Gulu Cathedral, made headlines after quitting the priesthood to join active politics. Fr. Onen, who had served for eight years, was indefinitely suspended by the then-Archbishop of the Gulu Catholic Archdiocese, John Baptist Odama, for defiance. He has now revealed how he plans to defend his political seat against Mao.
