Security deployment; presidential nominations see scattered clashes

Security increased along routes leading to Kampala city and within the town as the Electoral Commission held the second day of nominations for presidential candidates. Although the situation was mostly peaceful, there were a few incidents where the police clashed with supporters of the National Unity Platform, and tear gas was used at one point to disperse the crowd.
