Traditional instruments play a central role in cultures worldwide, and in Uganda, drums crafted from unique materials are at the heart of celebrations, ceremonies, and community life. Many of these instruments are made from the skins of wildlife that are vital to the ecosystem, such as monitor lizards. In today’s eco talk, we will explore how the use of these products is impacting their populations and what measures are in place to ensure the survival of these creatures.
