The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association has held its 43rd Annual General Assembly and passed a projected budget of fifteen billion shillings for the 2026 sporting year. The assembly, held at Front Page Hotel in Namasuba, also approved the 2026 annual activities calendar, which will see St. Japan School in Bombo hosting the Secondary Schools Elite Games in January before Seroma Christian High School hosts Ball Games One in May.
The highly competitive Boys’ Football Championship will be hosted in Lira City by Lira Town College, while Sacred Hearts Gulu prepares to host Ball Games Two in July. Seroma Christian High School has also been given the mandate to host the National Secondary Schools Swimming Gala.
Ministry of Education and Sports Permanent Secretary Dr. Kedrace Turyagyenda presided over the assembly and emphasized the need for mass school sports participation throughout the country.
