Uganda currently hosts more than 1 million refugees, the highest number for any host country in the world. Furthermore, Increased violence in the DRC is leading to a surge of refugees crossing the border into Uganda. The government of Uganda and the U.N. Refugee Agency say a surge of refugees fleeing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo is tearing apart families and stretching aid resources. NMG's Juma Kiirya had an experience with the effects of fresh DRC conflict in the context of the resurgence of refugees which happened last week.
