How internet scam led Ugandans to Myanmar
The National Coordination Office for the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons at the Ministry of Internal Affairs has revealed that, since January this year, 21 Ugandans who were trafficked have been rescued from captivity in Myanmar. At least 22 Ugandans are still being held in captivity but were originally destined to work in Thailand.
