Only 20% of working population caters for retirement
The Retirement Benefits Authority has two months to write a technical report to the finance ministry towards the establishment of a national savings scheme targeting retirement. A feasibility study conducted by the financial sector deepening Uganda project shows that actually many Ugandans save informally but most of these savings are not for retirement.
