Uganda Intellectual Property Conference urges investment in branding
An intellectual property conference has opened today in Uganda, with a call on the country's entrepreneurs and innovators, from agriculture to industry, to channel a portion of their investments into branding and the use of trademarks to ensure their works are legally distinguished within the legal and business ecosystem. Mercy Kainobwinsho, the Director-General of URSB, says that despite progress made in regulating the IP space, little has been done regarding sensitization on its economic benefits.
